Good day,
I've been a ctwm user for years, not continuously though since I had
trouble
finding it after I left school, but that's another story that I won't go
into.
I have a configuration that I'm fairly happy with, but there are two
things
that I've never quite been able to get to work correctly.
1. The background of my Workspace Manager (like the space between the
buttons,
NOT the background of the buttons themselves) is whatever I set the
default
value of IconManagerBackground to. I've tried adding an entry for
"WorkSpaceManager" into the IconManagerBackground list to no avail. Is
there
any way I can set the WS manager background to a different color than
the IM
background?
2. This one's more complicated: I want an icon for my mailer (exmh)
which will
appear on every virtual desktop such that when I click it, I'll zoom to
exmh
on my "Mail" desktop. I've done the first part in creating a separate IM
for
exmh with this .ctwmrc entry:
IconManagers {
"Exmh" "=150x25+0+0" 1
}
But I'm currently stuck at the second part, which is getting the IM to
appear
on all desktops. I've got this:
OccupyAll {
"xclock"
"Exmh Icon Manager"
"console"
}
Which works for xclock and console, but not the Exmh Icon Manager. It is
probably worth noting that I have:
Occupy {
Window "Netscape" {"WWW"}
"Mozilla" {"WWW"}
"Exmh" {"Mail"}
}
If anyone wants to see the whole .ctwmrc, let me know, but I'm not
posting it
yet as I have no idea what the netiquit on this list is.
Any comments, suggestions, questions or snide remarks would be
appreciated.
