I checked the new version out while doing yet more customizations. I
started with these (and the other squeeze options).
So I have in .ctwmrc:
AutoSqueeze {"WorkSpaceManager" "XLoad"}
StartSqueezed {"WorkSpaceManager" "XLoad"}
< ... >
SqueezeTitle
{
"XTerm" left 0 0
"emacs" right 0 0
}
If I start an xload, it starts up squeezed, but I if move the mouse
pointer into the window (well title bar !) and it stays squeezed?
WorkSpaceManager works as I'd expected, unsqueezing when I move the
pointer over it, and returning to the squeezed state when I move away.
Also with an xterm I get a pattern like:
[ [] xterm [] [] ]
[========================================================================]
when squeezed. I'd prefer
[ [] xterm [] [] ]
[================]
( [] are buttons )
I'm not sure I really understand the SqueezeTitle part of the man
page!! Why num and denom, why not just a real number between 1 and
-1?
On a unrelated matter:
I use the keyboard to access pretty much all the menus. I have
"Select" = m : all : f.menu "programs"
"Prior" = m : all : f.menu "windowops"
"Next" = m : all : f.menu "ctwmops"
and use the cursor keys to move around within these menus and
sub-menus. If the pointer just happens to be at the right edge of my
screen and I bring up a menu, then a sub-menu, then left-arrow to go
back to the original menu, the text which was underneath the sub-menu
does not re-appear, just a black box. Also I cannot at this point
access the original (main) menu. This does _not_ happen if I use the
mouse to access the menus from the same pointer location, near the
edge of the screen.
I'm running on DUnix 4.0, DEC C compiler.
I commented out "#define I18N" in the Imakefile when compiling
ctwm-3.5beta2 since I didn't know what it was, and certainly dont have
the library. Dont know if that's related.
Cheers,
Kev
