Possible ctwm problem

Hi,

Occasionally I run into the following problem.

When a window that is (partly) obscured wants to get raised, for
example when I put the cursor into it, suddenly all windows shift
their contents into the upper-left direction, leaving only grey areas.
The console is locked (Atl-Ctrl-BS and shifting virtual consoles does
not work) and after a couple of minutes the X server quits.

I get this error frequently when the window that wants to raise is a
VMware window.

I'm running RedHat Linux 5.2 with XFree86 3.3.3.1-1.1, ctwm 3.5 + I18N
patch. I have AutoRaise and RaiseDelay configured. I've got this
problem on two different systems, with Mach64 and SVGA servers.

I'm totally clueless. Anyone any ideas or suggestions?
